Mom and Dad went back to the hotel last night

and my brother and SIL flew home

and the kiddo is at a friend's house-- spending the night

so M and I had an adult date
at full volume
Just what Dr. M ordered.

in fact I started to write this last night -- and stopped typing to have my date.

I fell asleep right after

sans underwear -- which is forbidden -- but I lost consciousness moments after the thought

"I need to put on panties" passed through my mind

and falling asleep at 9pm -- means I was wide awake at 5am today

so here I am

TV on playing the "French Chef" -- I do love Julia -- she is one of my heros - building her life after 40 -- and changing the way the world thinks about food.

Sitting with my favorite blanket -- in the glow of the christmas tree --new curtains hung -- all my pantings hung up on the walls

my house became a home this weekend.

sigh

and it's was the first real cold day here yesterday.

so I'm going to make a slight adjustment to my morning --

put down the computer --get a cup of early grey -- turn off the TV
(ok -- when Julia is done making a Salad Nicoise)

and curl up with the kindle.

I am a happy girl.
