I have one of those porchlights that comes on when something goes near it
and I like that
because I could tell if someone were at my door
and I hate that
because I always think someone is at my door.
Yes
I could turn it off
but then I won't know if someone's at my door
and I would wonder
new houses are weird
they make funny noises
they take time to adjust to
and
they apparently attract all the cats and possum in the neighborhood
to fuck with me
by turning my porch light
on
and off
maybe a porch light that is not just motion sensitive, but *human* sensitive?

Yeah those things can drive you nuts. I have one on the back porch. Cats love to set it off.

My next door neighbor has one at the end of her walkway - shines directly into my bedroom.
