predator - Part 3

The messages had been going on for over a week.  Chatty, flirty, fun.  She started to think of him as HER man of mystery.  Maybe a tall dark stranger with deep eyes.  He seemed to be made for her.

He wouldn't tell her how he found her - teasing her with little hints about her life making her wonder.  They loved the same restaurants, the same books, the same movies.  They shopped at the same stores

no one was admitting to it but everyone had noticed how excited she was about her mystery man.

and she wasn't sure she wanted the mystery to end.  They had amazing online chemistry - and so often these things don't translate in person.  It will be a little sad to lose that aspect.

"Imagine", she said one afternoon, "we live so close to each other, you might see me out shopping and I would never know"

Those words practically floated off his screen.  He had been following her for weeks -- keeping his distance - but always there.   Last night he followed her to her pedicure and sat outside as they scrubbed  and massaged her feet.

They texted back in forth while her toenails were painted.  He watched her as she moved about the shop to the drying station.  He watched her leaf through an old Cosmo and he ached for her.

"That would be delicious, little one" he messaged back

after a long pause she mentioned that she had some errands to run -- but would be "in the neighborhood" shopping and getting a bite to eat.

Orion smiled to himself.  She's challenging him to come find her.....how could he fail her in her one wish?
