A funny thing happened on the way to the hypnotherapist

I had to go to a company event before the appointment with the amazing H.

I sat with my team - but one of my friends came and sat near me -- S and I have been friends -- I helped recruit her to my company

for some time now -- I've sort of suspected that S and her husband might be one of us.

I half expected to see her at a local munch or at the dungeon

but it's not the sort of thing one talks about

you don't just out yourself on the off chance that your suspicion might be right

we were chatting for a bit at the table and I mentioned that M and I are struggling (more on that in the next blog)

and mentioned that M and I might be re-imagining our relationship

she was curious
and I just said something to the effect of "well - I'm pretty liberal about such things-- we'll have to see"

she said she didn't think anyone was more liberal than she was

and I said something like -- "oh - you think so - huh?"

and she gave me a curious look

we went out for coffee afterwards -- and she told her secret

and I told mine

personally--- I think my secret is bigger than hers

but fuck

don't we always think our secrets are bigger and more damaging if we were outed.

I love love loved shocking her

it was fun

and

so now?

I am out

to my first friend

ever

really out

oh-- they're Poly -- and loving it

so S and I are feeling really elated -- to be out

to someone normal

to someone we were already friends with

and it makes all of THIS -- feel that much more normal

and it makes you wonder

how many more of your "vanilla" friends
are really chocolate swirl
