On Flirting

I have never been very good at flirting.

I typically can't tell when someone is flirting -- or even openly hitting on me
I'm really pretty clueless about it

perhaps it's been a lack of confidence
or a lack of awareness of my own sexuality.

but

I never get it

I've been flirting shamelessly lately
with someone that I have a horrible crush on

and I've decided that it's really healthy for me right now
to think of myself as a sexual person

and if my horrible crush flirts back
well

that's lovely too.

so

apparently it's leaking out into the rest of my life

I had to take down the nursery to make a bedroom for KittyKat (aka the 9 yr old) which meant getting out the old daybed from storage and putting it up

except that I lost all the hardware
my Dad was irritated with me

but we took the crib screws and figured out that if the screws were the same -- but the threads were wider - it would work

so off to Ace Hardware

where I played helpless female
and

after he made a little joke about -- ok -- but it'll cost you dinner

my response was -- "only dinner?  I would do a lot more than make dinner to fix this problem!"

we had a fun moment

that had us both laughing a blushing a bit

what a nice moment for us both
a bit of harmless flirting
and

I got what I needed as well
and

it's likely that I'll live on flirting for a bit
but

I won't have much time for much else

KittyKat and FoxyLoxy are keeping me hopping!
