Rough Night

I had a rough night's sleep last night

if you want to read something happier -- read what I posted last night and skip this

my dreams were filled with frustration and loss.
they were disjointed

there was a part where I disappointed and betrayed a friend

there was a part
where I had a box of treasures from
the children around me's mother
and they were grabbing at them
in a way that would smash them
and I was trying to give them to them
gently
and they were so mad at me

and -- as always
there is water and animals
I found a glass globe
that had little sea creatures
in it
they were dark colored
like tadpoles
and I gave them to the kiddo
and said
"don't you need to feed them"
and
she said "Yes -- once a year"
and took away the globe

everywhere I turned I was disappointing someone.

I woke up with my hands in fists
my body in knots

and frankly -- ready to get UP
and be done with weird frenetic dreams

I have some ugly business to attend to at work today
which is part of it
and

some infighting in the manager ranks
it's all so

ookie today

and of course
the looming homestudy

at least I'll get some rest later in the week.

off to the shower to wash off these dreams.
