M asked me what I was doing today

I told him nothing

he didn't buy it

but sure enough
by about 1:30

I had accomplished

nothing

I love that we're still at the stage
where everything about me is still good

he told me that he was surprised and a bit proud
that I have the ability to do nothing

I laughed

You admire that I'm lazy?

You're not lazy

(laughing) - you always think the best of me

his point was that people who work on projects
craft
re do furniture
etc

can't stand to sit still
and do nothing.

can't just rest
and be at peace.

now -- I didn't succeed in doing nothing all day

I worked on making a pair of comic book themed shoes

but that's not the point

here we are -- 8 months later.

and still?

still thinks all my faults are assets.

this long-distance thing has it's benefits.
