sometimes
strangely when I'm sitting very very still
I feel like I am bursting at the seams
like every muscle wants to shoot off in
it's own direction
all at once
Like restless leg syndrome (or what I imagine it's like) -- only everywhere
and if I move
it gets worse
strangely -- this is how I feel if I take an antihistamine
or
when I take a melatonin
as if my whole body is in revolt over the idea that I'm having a quiet moment
I have no idea what's going on inside my body when this happens
a misfiring of messages I guess
interestingly
when I yawn
it starts to subside
and to make myself yawn
all I have to do is to think about yawning -- or even
type the word
yawn
yawn
yawn
and it does the trick.
I yawn
It calms me down
and slows down that crawly
feeling
and
lol
most likely made you yawn too.
damn you.
ReplyDeletedamn you.
Yawn..yawn...oh fuck...YAWNNNN...
now to the science...
yawning is more than stress relief, or indication of exhaustion..
it also is a fast way to reduce heat in the brain.
so perhaps while you sit
and try to be quiet
you're really...
overheating...
so you can keep yawning...
(lol)
or strip nekkid
or find some other way of dissapating that heat wink, wink wink....
(i always get a wave of "cool" after i orgasm).
nilla
Sometimes i feel that way after drinking coffee. I'll have to try the yawn thing, normally I just lie down and try not to freak out as my body is doing at that moment. Eventually it goes away.
ReplyDeleteAnd I swear I just yawned because I'm tired... it had NOTHING to do with reading your yawns... really...
Yep, totally made me yawn. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI've heard yawning is a way to get extra oxygen to the brain. And we know that breathing ~ especially calm, deep breathing ~ changes the neurochemistry in the brain and calms adrenaline and epinephrine and the chemicals that keep us on guard or on alert for danger. A deep breath sends the message to the brain to relax, that everything's ok. I'd think a yawn would too.
So it makes perfect sense. Of course. Cool.
