Another shitting day in chez sfp

holidays suck
a regular Monday is one thing -you don't compare it as much to home

but a holiday?

all the differences are glaring
especially for my family
as we do holidays in a rather small way

as I drove back from the shoe store
FL was telling me all the ways in which living with their Aunt would be better

and I had sort of had it
because

well - because sometimes I feel like -- "screw you - -I'm doing my best"
even though it's not appropriate

and I told her that I'm sure that her aunt's house IS more fun
but that it's not where she lives

FL was pissed at me
because I wouldn't let them ogle the pets at petsmart's adoption faire
and because I put her on yellow for refusing to get out of the car

so FL informed me that she wasn't going to speak at all for the rest of the day

I considered escalating and saying "GOOD  -- WE'LL ALL HAVE ABETTER DAY THEN!"

because I am not 10
I didn't say it

instead

I turned in the seat and said,

"No - let's do something else - I"ll make you a bet that you can't not talk -- for the rest of the night - if you do it -- I'll give you 10 coins - and if you can't -- you pay me 10 coins - it's a game"

HA!

she took he bait - but instead - it was turn it to green if she wins - and pay 10 coins for losing

and she did a great job

until we walked out of the movies and she couldn't hold it in

and we all laughed and went out for slurrpies

and finally made it home.
