Making traditions

Being a family is a bit about having shared experiences
being able to laugh at the same inside jokes

having shared memories

it's how we go from being strangers
to being friends
and eventually family

we've started a tradition

of going to the movies
in our PJs
with our stuffed animals

KK in pigtails

all of us in slippers and robes

and while it won't last

I imagine we're less than a year before we kit eye rolling and

"oh My GOD -- you are SO emaBARassing"

for now it's a lot of fun

and I'm happy we started it.

  2. nice. It won't last but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the "now". :)

I used to run in and watch Kipper with the little dude when he was 4 or 5. Every night at 7 like clockwork. We'd snuggle and giggle for the entire 12 minutes of the show...now that he's 9? well, kipper is in the scrapbook of history now. But it's a really great memory for us both.
