While my friends are spinning naughty tales

Here I am at Where Aisha lives -- happily curled in a chair -- a variety of cats padding around the house.  Clocks ticking -- and the sound of the coffee machine clucking as it keeps the brew warm

Aisha is showering - her Sir gone for the morning

and as is the morning in Aishaville

it's peaceful.

For those of you who may not recall from last year's visit -- Aishaville is very soothing.

her rooms are encircled with bookshelves - lined with row after row of delicious books.  topped with candles and keepsakes of past travels but not cluttered in any way.

She as a green thumb -- did you know that?
I could never keep plants like this alive -- I am neglectful of things that require food and water but don't cry, meow or bite.

it's a wonderful contrast to my travels

last night I spend the evening on a whirlwind tour of our gigantic airport as they moved our flight - -not only from gate to gate -- but from terminal to terminal....Air Force One had delayed the first leg of the flight in Vegas -- prompting more than one Red passenger to snicker about what our President was doing in Vegas.

eyeroll

yes

he's gambling
5 days before the election - he thought he would spend some time at the Keno tables

I pointed out again to a passenger that Nevada is in contention

and that the President was less likely to be the delay than the secret service.

So -- normally when I travel -- I post little stories -and will continue to do the same -- but I think I will also have to talk about my favorite thing -- food

I arrived at my airport -- hungry -- I like to get there early -- and find something to eat - and found an "urban taco" something or another

amazing what we've done to the simple street taco that I could get for $1 each outside the airport -- cost me $10 for this fabulous fare

um

well -- or this

Why do people think gourmet means making things a different color than expected?   The chicken tinga taco was beyond bland -- with a grayish green cream drizzled on top that was meant to be some sort of avocado garnish -- having recently changed a few diapers -- it was readily removed when discovered to be flavorless.

The xx barbacoa taco with -- picked red onions (because pale pink onions are all the rage) was all fire --but no flavor  -- and all of this was partnered with over cilantroed green rice and beige refried beans.

I wanted to push them all aside and take over.

well -- back to the vacation

Aisha has plans for us today -- we're going to a food truck event -- which should be fun - I love food -- and believe it or not -- do love the creativity that the food truck revolution has provided

and then later on -- the local munch.

at some point -- if we ever DO do the kinky blogger convention -- we SHOULD have it here -- because this is a very lovely city.

more soon!

  4. Ok, so that's a reservation for Little Monkey - cool!!

It's lovely to have you here, Sfp. We've been able to make decisions fairly well, i think, even if we do both tend to want the other person to decide, right? But we haven't had TOO much shrugging and "If you want to's."

    grinning...
