and
it took me back to those made-for-tv movies back in the 70's and 80's about pioneer life. Some pioneer woman is alone in the cabin and the
yeah
I had one of those moments
where I was completely panicked that the natives would attack if they heard the baby.
fuck
that's when I sent the "Jane get me offa this crazy thing" email to my agency.
but now
things are peaceful.
the baby hmm -- this baby needs a blog name -- I'll work on it.
The baby is still at the "furniture you feed" stage -- so not all that much work. After all, I didn't just give birth to him -- so it's a bit easier.
and
having the girls here put "too much work" into perspective....also--- other than for a few weeks -- I've grown accustomed to waking up every 2 to 3 hours anyway.
I'm off to see my dear friend Bachelor # 2 -- dang it -- I know he had a different nickname -- but I've forgotten it -- I don't write of him much. To teach him how to make meatballs -- I'll take the footstool - uh - baby, with me -- as he is not a fuss yet -- and spend some time. He's going through a rough patch and we have to stick together.
Many thanks to all of you who shared your support -- here and on Facebook (for those of you who read in both places).
Much love

love the image as the babe as a footstool! furniture you feed? That's a classic line, to be sure! See how creative you become when you're back to sleeping every 3 hours? *grin*

Just glad things are going better... and that one seems so much less overwhelming than it might have!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Bachelor #2, or whatever his name was, had a lovely evening. You're a good friend.
