Vertigo

So

I'm having a little problem.
I am

not dizzy
but

off kilter the past couple of weeks.

mariado is the word in Spanish -- "sea sick"

I switched to new glasses and I thought that they were the problem.
so I switched back
which made it a tiny bit better
but not completely.

so I'm making the internet advice rounds

and starting with the simple stuff.

drink more water.
see what makes it worse
and what makes it better

I sometimes feel if I move my head too fast
that my brains are sloshing

I finally had to tell M about it
bad girl

hiding things from him

I didn't want him to worry

so  -- I'm going to try all the only solutions
for another day

and then I'm going to do something about it

(here's hoping it's an ear infection)

  1. On my twelfth week of swooshy-head at the moment, so I know what you mean. Different cause but sharing at least one symptom. Weird feeling, isn't it?
Go to the doc. If they have meds to help, you might as well start taking 'em now...

  2. I have occasional vertigo coz of post-menopause..and sometimes with spring allergies. A decongestant helps...

but good to check with a Dr. coz a middle ear infection is not a good thing (and can often be pain-free)

    hugs and healing whammies...

  3. well -- sucks to be me.

    Not an ear infection

    so off for an MRI
    if it's not a tumor
    then

    um -- wait and see.

oh -- that makes it sound like I want it to be a tumor -- I don't -- but you know what I mean.

    1. Seriously? You can have vertigo that strikes for no apparent reason, with no infection or injury. (It's called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.) It's a nuisance but doesn't have to be a big deal.
(I've learned a lot about vertigo over the past 3 months...)
So don't get too freaked, 'k?

  4. Thanks Jz -- I had a little meltdown about it today

but I feel much better now
    MRI is done
    dinner is eaten
and I'm back on my sofa

M is being a total worry wart -- I'm glad I told him
and I'm sorry I worried him

    sigh

  6. Sending thoughts of feeling better today and a quick MRI results turnaround.

I had/have this occasionally too and it agree with Jz on the vertigo and also when I have sinus infections it hits me hard. So my ears are clear and I don't have a cold- just the infection f's up my brain and makes me dizzy.

In any event- glad you saw a Dr and hope today is easier for you.
