Hair Repair

Thank you all for your suggestions

I washed and washed and washed the hideously overly dark hair

and tried the Nilla suggestion -- washing my hair in hot olive oil

(Yes -- M enjoyed the idea of this tremendously)

which mellowed it somewhat as well

but finally -- I realized

For quite some time I've been using a dye that includes highlighting - and I often don't bother with the highlighting.

so -- I broke it out
and gave it a shot

but instead of leaving it on for the recommended time (which would have turned my hair orange)

I now have subtle variations in color

(a few more applications and I'll have normal hair again -- yay!)

  2. good, i'm glad you're getting happier about it..and sometimes you do need to fiddle with it...and highlighting does help a lot with adding depth. You can also do different times on the highlights...do some, wait 10 minutes, do a few more, and so on, then rinse it all out and you'll have a variety of tones in there...

Master has *forbidden* highlights. He's a fan of monochromatic hair. *sigh*
