I've been victimized.
yes
I've had my hair colored
and the slightly darker than light brown that I requested
is dark brown
and with my super white skin
I look goth.
it's terrible.
M hasn't seen it
but
assures me he will like it
sweet
anyway
it's God-awful.
so I've purchased a box of color oops
which claims it will strip off color
returning you -- to your original color
(laughing)
whatever that is.
but I've decided that I require a cooling off period
something like when one buys a gun
before I find myself sitting in the corner
rocking back and forth
regretting my rash decision
and besides
I can enjoy the awkward
ignoring of my coworkers tomorrow
as they look for nice things to say about my
Morticia-esque makeover
always fun.
Dear Spf,
ReplyDeleteDid you do it yourself the first time? Don't redo it yourself ~ go somewhere for a "color correction." Really. You could end up pink.
Just my opinion, um, my experience...
I hate it when hair goes wrong! Whether it is the cut or color, when it isn't the way you want it, you just don't feel right.
ReplyDeleteGood luck,
Donna
PS And for the record, I agree with aisha...personal experience says go to a pro.
Lol I just did mine two weeks ago and stupidly bought a red based medium blonde. I cant wait til I can redo. Thank god it did soften some after three washings.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I have to agree, go to a pro to have it fixed. I know that's expensive, but I've stripped my hair before and ended up with sections of brown, blonde, and orange. It was awful!
ReplyDeleteYou could probably even go back and tell them the color isn't what you asked for and either get your money back or have another stylist fix it for you for free.
I think you should have fun with it for a week first. Do the tons of Goth eyeliner and heavy lashes. Be the big eyed girl. I saw a cute goth girl today, long dark skirts and big dark boots and thought of you!
ReplyDeletewell, dark brown isn't so bad...and after a few washings, it should tone down a bit (oh, nilla so sympathetic...)
ReplyDeleteone thing you can try at home that won't hurt at all?
coat your hair with olive oil, let it set a bit (5-10 minutes) then wash it out...will take a few washings, but it does pull some color out, and doesn't harm your hair.
i once colored my hair dark red but it came out purple.
(i immediately dyed it blonde to pull the color out, then brown. I was verrah unhappy for a few weeks until i got my real red back...)
nilla
who really does sympathize...
