Halo effect

the beginning is a dangerous time
there's a glow

about us both

and all the things that we learn about each other

seems charming

He thinks it's adorable
that I get lost all the time
and that I fall asleep really early
and that I hate spiders
and that I send tons of text messages
and I work too much
and
and
and

we're at the stage when we both have halos

even our farts smell like flowers

it's not sustainable

sure it's fun

and it's great to feel like we're equally smitten

but eventually reality will set in

and we'll know

in the meantime

do you smell violets?

mmmmmm

  2. Omigosh, since i can get lost in my own backyard and fall asleep about 9:30ish, I can totally relate to the pleasure of those early days when they think it's cute, as opposed to later days when they're more like, "What do you mean you got lost there? how could you get lost there?????" and "You're ready for bed NOW???"

    Laughing...

    Enjoy every minute of it.

  3. "even our farts smell like flowers"

    What a great metaphor!

Enjoy it while you've got it. And don't forget when you return to reality.

  7. i just read all the comments before mine...i hate when i do that..coz what i was gonna say was...enjoy the roses, and don't worry so much about the thorns...sooner or later you'll get a prick...(no, i'm not using a metaphor for sex, silly!!)...and it will hurt, then heal and you'll go back to liking the roses again...
