I have given notice to the agency for the girls to move to a home that can better support their needs and am awaiting word on what will happen. They have up to 30 days to make a change
so
I'm looking ahead at what I should do
I will be taking a break from fostering
I may also
go get that dog I've been dreaming of
go on vacation with my BFF (we're thinking about 10 days in Europe and are trying to decide where)
and
changing the direction I'm going on the adoption front
many many thoughts on all of this
well
right now
mostly thinking about sunny Spain....
That must have been a huge decision for you. Or a set of decisions. Good luck

You've made a huge difference in their lives. They're both young and so broken they can't feel or show the appreciation. Someday, they'll be thankful for the love and stability that you were able to offer while you could. You're not giving up on them. They truly need a situation that can support their very complicated needs. You're an incredible person and I admire what you've done. Not for the weak!
ReplyDeleteSending a lot of hugs your way. It had to be a difficult decision. But you've got to do what's right for you too.
