I'm in a very different place right now.

but I did get the early news that Mr. C is going to propose to his new LD love.

with a ring and everything

It made me smile
and laugh a bit

and feel

because I knew it
I knew it when things started to fall apart

that part of it
for him
part of loving someone
who never wants to get married

means that she could just walk away
one day

I think to him (married 2x before) that it means that
she WANTS to walk away

so getting closer and closer to me?
too scary

when I met him -- neither of us wanted marriage
but through the relationship
and both of us opening up
and learning to love again

I have believed for some time
that this taught him to take risks
and love again

and -- (giggles) -- get married.

I have gotten to know her
and like her very much (long distance that is)

and am happy he's found what he wants
because I have found what I want
and we should both be happy

so -- some of you might be thinking

why in the WORLD would he tell his ex girlfriend
who just a year ago couldn't have dinner with him
without crying uncontrollably
that he's getting married?

because he is kind.
and didn't want me to read about it
on FB and be stung

so -- I'm headed off to see my man
I've been warned -- that "it's time to push us both"

and I am very very happy.
