I really am enjoying this time with M
even though it's all talk
for hours
until he'll finally say, "it's time to put you to bed, Angel, you've been yawning for 1/2 an hour"
you know
I think sometimes we get all caught up in the action
and forget about the talk
and the talk can be dangerous
since it's likely to be a few more weeks before we can get together
the talk might make us very very attached to each other and create great disappointment if things don't play out
or
the talk might fizzle out - -with nothing else to sustain it
we may exhaust all the possible topics
and then be stuck with stony silence
words are powerful things
they can wound when we want them to
and sometimes even if we don't want them to
and they can bind two people together more tightly than any other bond
and a man that's good with words?
sigh
I would go a long way for that
so right now -- it's all talk
but I'm pretty sure that in the end
it won't be all talk at all.
It sounds like you have a wonderful time together. Relax and enjoy the talk.
ReplyDeleteSince no one else has asked, "What does he write"?
This (and previous) sound very nice.
ReplyDeleteSilences aren't always stony. Sometimes they can be quite snuggy.
Master and i talked for 6 months before we ever met IRL...it's been 17-18 months so far...and we've YET to run out of things to talk about. We don't always voice every single day of late...but we email and text multiple times a day. I'd guess we talk 5 days out of 7 and it's just magical, even now.
ReplyDeleteenjoy the ride!

glad to see that words still matter... Mick
ReplyDeleteBBD and I joke that no one talks as much as we do. And we still haven't run out of things to talk abt.
ReplyDeleteWords matter. I need words too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
