itchy feet

I need to go do something
take a trip

even a road trip

get away

walk in some sand
or
lay in the sun
(don't get on me for the lay, lie thing -- I'm sleep deprived)

I'm irritable.

but I don't particularly want to get away from the baby

just away from the ordinary

when I'm craving dessert -- I read recipe books
they soothe me

when I'm craving travel

I cruise VRBO -- (vacation rentals by owner) --and dream of different vacations
drooling over renting a huge kitchen
and lounging in their pool

but instead
I will do laundry
and tidy by house
and refresh the garden with the fall planting (we have another growing season coming up)

and dream my dreams

I get that. Where the daily grind is really grinding you down...

yet..how lovely to have another growing season. Ours is in the downward spiral, I'm afraid. And suddenly I have not much time for food prep as I used to, and we're talking about not having a garden next year (gasp)...

Enjoy playing in dirt. Maybe take a drive on the weekend. Head...dunno. Toss a quarter in the air and see if it lands E, W, N or S...and go there. Just for a day. A few hours.

Amazing what a break can do for you.

  2. *sigh I hear ya.
I live in a state of perpetual itch -- but I have NO money.
Sometimes just playing tourist in my own town can help.
Even ordinary can be special when you come at it from a different angle.

  3. It would be nice if you could find some pampering thing ... whatever that might be for you. Time to shop or have your nails done or have dinner with a friend. Babysitter?

  4. i'm still enjoying being home, myself, but i sure agree with sin. Some pampering would be excellent. Moms need lots of that.
