27th base wasn't all that it was cracked up to be

sometimes things go exactly as planned

and sometimes they go slightly awry

and

that's ok

because things don't have to be perfect all the time

and there's no need to go  into details

I ended up in tears

beyond tears

sobs

I think half because he pushed me farther than he has before
and more than half that my head wasn't in the right place

and the man took good care of me
and cleaned me up

(the fact that he brought 4 kleenex to do an 8 kleenex job was laughable)

I drove home today
and found myself feeling very very down

there is a price to be paid for the high highs --
the downside

silliness really
the drop of adrenaline
and endorphins no doubt

and I'm back to my normal self
tired
bruisy
sated
sore
and off to bed

tomorrow is another day

we'll try 27th base again next time.

  4. It IS hard to function with only half a head, it's true.
(I seem to do it a lot, tho', so if you need any pointers, just sing out...)

  5. The ups and the downs are extreme I agree.

I giggled a little at bringing 4 kleenex for an 8 kleenex job. Hope you are okay now?

  6. I'm glad you're able to see it as part of the process - at least I think that's what you're saying - and just look forward to hearing more.
